Employees spend most of their daylight hours under your roof. The quality of that environment matters. Poor lighting makes a space look bad, but it also strains eyes, causes headaches, and drains energy. Workers under harsh or outdated lighting tend to be less focused, more tired, and prone to making mistakes. Studies have shown that good lighting boosts mood and sharpens concentration. Natural light, or lighting that mimics natural daylight helps regulate the body's internal clock. It keeps energy levels higher during working hours and promotes better sleep at night, which circles back into better work performance the next day. In spaces like offices, medical facilities, or manufacturing plants, quality lighting helps prevent errors, reduces accidents, and supports mental clarity. In retail settings, better-lit stores usually see higher sales. People linger longer and engage more with what’s in front of them. If you’re trying to get more from your team, changing the lighting could be a fast and affordable solution.

PrintI am writing to express my sincere appreciation for the outstanding service I recently received from your company. From my initial phone call to the completion of the repair, every aspect of the experience was exemplary. The representative I spoke with was not only incredibly helpful in scheduling an appointment promptly – my kitchen outlet had inexplicably stopped working, causing considerable inconvenience – but also demonstrated a thorough understanding of my situation. Their professionalism and efficiency immediately put me at ease. The electrician who arrived at my home was equally impressive. They took the time to explain the problem clearly and concisely, patiently answering all my questions despite my limited knowledge of electrical systems. This detailed explanation allowed me to fully understand the necessary repairs and the process involved. Their expertise and calm demeanor were truly reassuring. In short, I was deeply impressed by the overall professionalism, knowledge, and friendliness of every individual I interacted with. The entire experience was seamless and stress-free, a rarity these days. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend your company to anyone requiring electrical services, and I will certainly be using your services again in the future.
I finally made the switch from gas to electric and bought myself a Tesla. The home charger was expensive (I went with level 2) and called Mr Electric to do the install. They were overall great, came the same day to give me an estimate the price seemed reasonable so I went ahead and signed their work order on an iPad the gentleman had. They told me they could start the work the next day, that was unexpected but nice, as I am excited to be able to use my home charger finally. Once they finished the work they provided the permit information and all. I was very pleased and my charger is now in my garage working perfectly. Thank you Galen and Cris for prompt and professional service, that isn’t always the case and it is much appreciated.
My electric garage door stopped working suddenly after using it manually for a couple of weeks I was ready to buy a new one and called this company. They came the next day and were even able to supply the machine, that was a nice surprise. The electrician was friendly and I appreciate them making the whole experience easy. Great job
This company is great, they helped me when no other company I called could. I have been trying to install a few outdoor/indoor sconces on my patio, I called a couple of electricians they said that the way my townhouse was built they could not be installed. I was determined so I called Mr Electric & they came out the next day and explained that it would be a difficult install, but not impossible. In two days they had all three sconces up and running. They weren’t even expensive either, I was very impressed by them. If you have a hard or seemingly impossible job don’t give up like I almost did, give them a call.
Business owners have a long list of regulations to follow, and lighting is one of them. Different industries and building types must meet specific safety and accessibility standards. Ignoring these rules can leave you open to expensive fines or lawsuits and can put the people in your building at risk. Emergency exit lighting must work without fail. Hallways, stairwells, and parking lots must meet minimum brightness requirements. Some states and cities have their own codes, especially when it comes to energy efficiency and accessibility for those with disabilities. The Americans with Disabilities Act has very clear guidelines on how lighting should support visibility and mobility. Fire codes may demand certain types of emergency lighting systems. OSHA has standards for workplace lighting that affect everything from manufacturing floors to office spaces. Compliance isn't optional. It’s part of running a business responsibly. A professional inspection from a licensed electrician can reveal whether your building is up to code.
If your commercial space still runs on old fluorescent tubes or incandescent bulbs, it’s costing you a lot in energy bills and maintenance calls. Lighting technology has come a long way, and LED retrofits are one of the fastest ways to bring your building up to modern standards. LEDs use up to 75% less energy than traditional lighting. They also last up to 25 times longer. That means fewer replacements, fewer disruptions, and serious savings over time. They generate less heat, too, which can ease the burden on your HVAC system during the summer months. Retrofits don’t always require you to rip out every fixture. In many cases, existing fixtures can be adapted to work with LED technology to cut down on installation costs and waste. If you notice frequent bulb burnouts, uneven lighting, or soaring energy costs, it’s a sign your building is ready for an upgrade. Rebates and incentives are available in many areas to offset the upfront cost. When you combine lower energy use with reduced maintenance needs, an LED retrofit usually pays for itself faster than most business owners expect.
Every business has its own rhythm, atmosphere, and demands, and the lighting should match. What works in a quiet law office won't serve a busy restaurant. What a boutique needs is different from what a hospital requires. Retail stores benefit from layered lighting. Good general lighting brings customers into the space, while accent lighting draws attention to featured displays and creates a path through the store. Warm, inviting tones encourage shoppers to stay longer and browse more. Restaurants depend on mood. Lighting sets the tone before a customer even picks up a menu. Dimmers, warm tones, and carefully placed fixtures create a welcoming environment. In fast-casual settings, brighter lights keep energy levels up and encourage faster table turnover. Offices need clarity and consistency. Overhead lights should minimize glare on screens while keeping workstations bright enough for paperwork and reading. Natural daylight integration has become a major trend because it boosts employee well-being. Medical spaces need bright, uniform lighting for accuracy in diagnosis and treatment. It also creates a sense of cleanliness and professionalism. Warehouses and industrial spaces demand durability. Fixtures need to handle dust, moisture, and vibration while providing enough light for safe movement and operations. Choosing the wrong type of lighting confuses customers, frustrates employees, and chips away at your business’s success. Getting the right system in place pays off in ways you’ll notice immediately.
